The Crescent Stair

Since introducing the first modular stair in 1972, Crescent of Cambridge has grown dramatically, and for many years now have dominated the spiral stair market.

Certainly, other companies have tried to copy Crescent's modular approach, but no one has the range of products, skills, experience or powerful computer software, to enable them to match our service.

Innovation Through Technology

The key to Crescent's market domination lies in our unique system design. This comprises a comprehensive range of basic designs and components which can be rapidly customised, using the very latest data processing technology - powerful CAD systems and engineering-based software - to generate bespoke designs and cost effective solutions to any given stair requirement. Not only can we produce original designs and estimates in the shortest possible time, but alterations and amendments to design or price can also be generated very rapidly.

Stairs by Crescent

You really don't need to do too much to specify a spiral or straight stair. You can simply mark an area on your plans in the appropriate spot, give us a minimum specification, including the finish, and the Crescent operation can take over from there.

Once the order is placed our technical team will take site measurements, we will prepare designs and working drawings to your proposed specification for your approval, make any amendments that become necessary, liaising with site management throughout, and finally install the finished item!

Field Advisory Service

It's important to remember, also, that your Crescent field technical advisor is not simply a sales representative. He has a wide range of technical knowledge and speaks and advises with considerable authority. What's more he can call on more technical design and manufacturing support than any other 'salesman' in the market.

The finish is often just the beginning ...

Flexibility in design through an enormous range of standard components also extends to the range of finishes available. Powder coated finishes in a wide variety of colours are currently very popular, but we can also supply components in primer, galvanised - or virtually any finish you can specify. Side infill panels, too, can be used to dramatically enhance and alter the appearance of your staircase.
