Crescent recently completed a contract for two helical staircases at the prestigious new Beaufort Park development in the heart of the Thames Valley for Feltham Construction. The business park, set within 56 acres of woodland is an eco-friendly low carbon project which the company was delighted to be involved with.
Located at the South end of the buildings' wings, the two steel helical staircases were designed and manufactured using our in-house computer technology to meet the requirements of escape stair regulations BS 5395 Part 2 1984.
Each stair incorporates integral rest and floor level landings and have balustrades consisting of CHS balusters and intermediate rails.
All Crescent external staircases are supplied with a hot dipped galvanised finish and the stair carcasses for this project were no exception. However, to obtain a superior finish to the balustrades (whilst maintaining the protection of a galvanised finish) these were grit blasted, hot zinc sprayed to BS EN ISO 2063, polyester primed with a final polyester powder coated top coat.
Brushed finished stainless steel handrails compliment the overall aesthetics of the installation.
