Crescent spiral staircases have provided the finishing touch to a number of penthouse apartments developed by Bellway Homes in London Docklands.

The open-plan duplex apartments use spiral staircases to create a sense of space and enhance the stunning waterfront outlook from the floor to ceiling window which stretches across two floors. The staircases have black railings and handrails, with open wooden treads.

These apartments were built for both owner occupation and as rental investments. Design features therefore needed to appeal not only to potential owners, but also to the buy-to-let market and these spiral staircases satisfy the need for both high quality and fashionable minimalist design.
