BBC 'House of the Future'

Dreamhouse

The 'house of the future' created for the BBC's Dreamhouse project was certainly a dream come true for us - right at the heart of the building was one of our spiral staircases.

Evelyn Pellow of Integer, an organisation set up to build affordable, green and 'intelligent' houses, had this to say: "The Integer team drew up the specification for the house and then began to search for the companies best placed to provide products for each part of the specification. The team already knew about Crescent's reputation for state-of-the-art spiral staircases and its ongoing research programme. Crescent was therefore a clear choice to provide the staircase for the Dreamhouse project".

To play a part in such an interesting and high profile project was a great achievement and we were of course extremely proud that one of our products should be chosen to form one of the main focal points in the project.
